"Abram Refuses Gifts from the King of Sodom"

14:22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’

Insight Gained:

I must learn to trust God to be my provider and not the world. The world deals in objects, God deals with his kingdom. God will provide all my needs. Maybe not all my wants, but all my needs. I need to learn that faith. I need to refuse gifts from those God has said not to receive gifts from. He is my provider, not the world.

My Prayer to God:

Lord, let me hear your voice and know you are Lord. "Teach and I will listen, lead and I will follow." Allow me to know your will and help me to allow you to provide and not to depend on the world.
